Nowadays, car manufacturers construct just a certain number of engine types and assign the power output with the use of Electronic Control Unit (same hardware, different software). Our team of experts specialise in car tuning software. Their crowning achievement is software that reads the data from the ECU and modifies it to fit individual vehicles, allowing the drivers gain up to 35% more power and torque. Anelectronic control unit(ECU) controls a series ofactuatorson aninternal combustion engineto ensure optimal engine performance. It does this by reading values from a multitude ofsensorswithin the engine bay, interpreting the data using multidimensional performance maps (calledlookup tables), and adjusting the engine actuators accordingly.

Using our OBD Series chip box is not the same thing as doing the permanent tuning (remap) via OBD2 connector at a garage. Remaps are a permanent install and cannot be removed before servicing. They are not adjustable and cannot be turned off. Our OBD Series can be removed any time you wish within 1 minute, leaving no traces behind.

Diesel Engines

Modern, turbo-charged diesel engines use sensors to collect, monitor and transmit important information (such as fuel injection pressure, fuel injection quantity, injection frequency and turbo-charge pressure) to the ECU, which in turn sends signals to the engine components. All the information from the sensors is read by our chip tuning box, which modifies it and sends it to the ECU. ECU, adjusts the parameters to those optimised values always staying within the manufacturer’s limits.

As the signals get modified other factors (i.e. fuel injection quantity, injection pressure etc.) get modified as well leading to better performance of the vehicle.

Important!!! You can safely use our products with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF).

Petrol Engines

Modern petrol engines use sensors to collect, monitor and transmit information about fuel injection quantity, boost pressure or air mass to the ECU, which sends signals to the engine components. Information from the sensors is optimised by our chip tuning box in real time and then sent to the corresponding control sensors. The turbine RPM is increased causing increase in boost pressure. In turn, the engine gets more air adjusting the ignition timing more precisely. Optimisation of such factors causes better performance of the vehicle.

ECU with an attached OBD Series box controlthe amount of fuel to be injectedinto each cylinder. This varies depending on the engine’s RPM and the position of the accelerator pedal (or themanifold air pressure). The tuning can adjust this by bringing up aspreadsheet-like page where each cell represents an intersection between a specific RPM value and an accelerator pedal position (or thethrottle position, as it is called). In this cell a number corresponding to the amount of fuel to be injected is entered. This spreadsheet is often referred to as a fuel table or fuelmap.

Other parameters that are often mappable are:

· Ignition Timing:Defines at what point in the engine cycle thespark plugshould fire for each cylinder. Modern systems allow for individual trim on each cylinder for per-cylinder optimization of the ignition timing.

·Rev. limit:Defines the maximumRPMthat the engine is allowed to reach. After this fuel and/or ignition is cut. Some vehicles have a “soft” cut-off before the “hard” cut-off. This “soft cut” generally functions by retarding ignition timing to reduce power output and thereby slow the acceleration rate just before the “hard cut” is hit.

· Transient fuelling:Tells the E.C.U. to add a specific amount of fuel whenthrottleis applied. This is referred to as “acceleration enrichment”.

·Low fuel pressure modifier:Tells the ECU to increase the injector fire time to compensate for an increase or loss of fuel pressure.

·Waste gate control:Controls the behaviour of aturbocharger‘swaste gate, controllingboost. This can be mapped to command a specific duty cycle on the valve, or can use a P.I.D. based closed-loop control algorithm.

·Staged injection:Allows for an additional injector per cylinder, used to get a finer fuel injection control and atomization over a wide R.P.M. range. An example being the use of small injectors for smooth idle and low load conditions, and a second, larger set of injectors that are ‘staged in’ at higher loads, such as when the turbo boost climbs above a set point.

·Gear control:Tells the ECU to cut ignition during (sequential gearbox) up shifts or blip the throttle during downshifts.

·Anti-lag:Is an option which is provided by racing E.C.U.s only for turbocharged vehicles. When it is on, it changes the ignition timing to late, providing a fast charge of the turbocharger. When anti-lag is on, gunshot sounds and flames come from the exhaust, indicating extreme temperatures and pressures.

Returns are more than welcome and accepted by prior arrangement. All unwanted goods must be returned within 30 days after receiving the item. A refund or exchange will be offered provided the returned goods are in “as new” re-sellable condition with all original packaging and contents.

The buyer is always responsible for the safe return of unwanted goods. Please send all returns by recorded delivery. No liability or returns are accepted where buyers attempt to modify or adjust components.

The use of our products does not cause any damages to the engine or its components. The OBD Series unit is an additional control device. This means, it modifies and optimises the values of the manufacturer’s engine control unit and thus increases the performance of the vehicle. However, this performance increase is always in line with the limits set by the car manufacturer.

Engine protection functions are not bypassed or deactivated, therefore adverse values are detected and blocked by the engine control unit. So, you don’t have to worry about the engine, gear and other vehicle components.

SECS: Safety Engine Control System

The SECS software monitors functioning of the engine and its components. The SECS software guarantees the safety of the engine and its longevity. SECS is provided only with our original devices!

Use of our products does not cause the loss of car warranty. Our products leave no traces. Car dealers or mechanics are not able to detect our product when it’s unplugged. All you have to do, is unplug it before your service appointment and attach it back after it. Carrying out the installation procedure will not be needed as the tuning box has already saved all the settings.

Buyers can encounter many fake, cheap copies from China. Coming in wide variety of colours, such items are analogue and have no software. We urge all our customers to stay away from them.

The OBD2 standard specifies the type of diagnostic connector and its pinout, the electrical signalling protocols available, and the messaging format. It also provides a candidate list of vehicle parameters to monitor along with how to encode the data for each. There is a pin in the connector that provides power for the scan tool/Pro Racing OBD Series Digital Chip Tuning Box from the vehicle battery, which eliminates the need to connect a scan tool/tuning box to a power source separately. Finally, the OBD2 standard provides an extensible list of DTCs. As a result of this standardization, a single device can query the on-board computer(s) in any vehicle.

OBD2 standardization was prompted by emissions requirements, and though only emission-related codes and data are required to be transmitted through it, most manufacturers have made the OBD2 Data Link Connector the only one in the vehicle through which all systems are diagnosed and programmed. OBD-II Diagnostic Trouble Codes are 4-digit, preceded by a letter: P for engine and transmission (powertrain), B for body, C for chassis, and U for network. The OBD2 connector is required to be within 2 feet (0.61 m) of the steering wheel (unless an exemption is applied for by the manufacturer, in which case it is still somewhere within reach of the driver). All cars manufactured after 1999 are equipped with the OBD 2 connector.
